About this role
We are looking for an Upper Primary Homeroom Teacher to inspire and develop curiosity, relational learning, academic growth, and transferable competencies.
Responsibilities
Know learners and be responsive
Design purposeful, relevant learning
Set high expectations and provide support
Engage students as active learners
Use evidence to respond and improve
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum
Communicate students progress directly through in-person conferences, written reports, and school-defined platforms
Attend, chaperone, and actively participate in one residential trip a year with students.
Requirements
Demonstrated expertise in upper primary learning environments and instructional practices
Deep understanding of upper primary child development and relational learning
Commitment to building trust and partnerships with families
Skilled at supporting non-native English speakers, celebrating linguistic diversity, and fostering language confidence
Relational practitioner with the capacity to build inclusive classroom cultures
Proven capacity to foster social-emotional growth with courage and joy
Flexible, adaptive, and collaborative approach
Preferences
Experience planning and teaching through an interdisciplinary approach
Skills and willingness to be engaged in the wider community through sports and activities
Experience & credentials
Minimum experience: 3 years

Demonstrated expertise in upper primary curriculum design, inquiry-based learning, literacy and numeracy
Proven capability to support multilingual learners, differentiate instruction, and design student-centered learning
Strong collaboration skills, cultural fluency, and commitment to ongoing professional reflection
Credentials
Relevant degree and official teaching credentials for Primary Education
Compensation & benefits
Compensation
Depending on education and experience you can expect a starting salary between CHF 85,000 - 102,400
