EC-6 Deputy Principal: Learning Design

Provide instructional leadership across the campus, nurturing learner agency, adaptability, and mission-driven practice from early childhood through to Grade 6. This role is designed to strengthen coherence, clarity and continuity in our students' learning journey. Grounded in our commitment to global citizenship, this role promotes learning that demonstrates fluency in languages and cultural nuance, navigating global contexts with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

• Curriculum leadership across the Waedenswil Campus in line with our Mission, values and Strategic Framework.

• Leading the shift to a greater focus on competency learning, in partnership with the Director of Teaching and Learning

• Building effective, collaborative partnerships with grade level leaders and teachers

• Providing clear, transparent communication about 'Our Story' in line with our Mission

• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, instructional practice, and innovation across early childhood and primary contexts

• Deep understanding of the science of learning, interdisciplinary design, service learning, and project-based approaches

• Strategic systems thinker with the capacity to translate vision into actionable frameworks, expectations, and systems

• Proven capacity to lead change with both courage and humility, balancing innovation with stability

• High level of cultural fluency, modeling empathy, curiosity, and respect in diverse international settings

• Flexible and adaptive approach to changing needs, solving challenges with practicality and resourcefulness

• A second language

• Understanding of the Lehrplan21 curriculum, or a willingness to learn about it
